It’s been a mixed up week for my ‘booking’ schedule so I decided to check out my local Goodwill yesterday. I looked like a bomb had gone off and I could tell that there wasn’t much that was new or even interesting. After about 10 minutes I left without a single book. That’s just the way it goes some times but I was disappointed enough that I didn’t go anywhere else.
It’s a new day and 1/2 price at my favorite Thrift Store so I went there right after my Yoga class. I could tell there were new books but they were all so jumbled it was a bit of a challenge. Then I saw a pattern – religious themed books, lots of them and most in really good condition. I was there almost an hour but left with more books than I could carry in one trip – jackpot!!!

The FBA Grandma is now an FBA blogger!

My name is Nancy and I am quickly becoming known as the FBA Grandma. I started selling on Amazon almost three years ago now at the persistence of my son, Chris. Many of you may know him, he is the head trouble maker over at FBAPower. I have only sold using FBA and I would not sell without FBA. I definitely enjoy the ‘hunt’ when I’m out looking for books. Chris does try to get me to expand into other categories, primarily toys, but so far I’m sticking with books since they are easy, and I always seem to find plenty of money makers. I retired last year (early!) partially because of the additional income I receive every two weeks from my book business. When I travel, I definitely get the urge to go out scanning, so it’s safe to say that I am pretty addicted.

So of course I use FBAPower and FBAScout. I Velcro the Scanfob to the back of my EVO (both gifts from my son). It’s safe to say that I would not have an EVO if he did not buy it for me.

I attended SCOE 2011 in Seattle this year and had a great time meeting everyone. It was nice to meet other people who sell using FBA. I am certainly not the only FBA Grandma out there! I’ll try to post some information about my learning experiences and scanning adventures here in hopes that readers can learn about FBA and maybe laugh a little too. Who knows, maybe I’ll even make some new FBA friends on here!

I did run my accounting for 2010 and I’ve posted the highlights under 2010 Numbers. Real numbers from a real Grandma. If I can do it, so can you!
